On November 3rd we left San Francisco and arrived at Marina Dunes RV Resort in Marina, CA for a 7-night stay. The park is situated near the Marina Dunes Preserve and close to Monterey Bay. We had been to this area before, and we really loved it, so we were excited to spend a week here this time. Our days were spent walking along the beautiful beaches, including Pebble Beach, Carmel by the Sea and Pacific Grove. We also enjoyed walking around the quaint town of Monterey. Monterey sits on the picturesque central coast of California. Once bustling with sardine-packing activities, its Cannery Row gained fame through John Steinbeck's novels. Nowadays, it's transformed into a lively hub filled with charming gift shops, delicious seafood eateries, and vibrant bars housed within former industrial buildings.

We headed down the coast a little further on November 10th and made Pacific Dunes Ranch Campground in Oceano, CA our home for the next 5 nights. We had stayed here before and liked the area, so we had a nice time visiting again. We went back to Morro Bay one day and spent the rest of the time taking in the salty air and cool breezes of the Pacific Ocean.
Sea life near Oceano
We arrived at Sunrise RV Park in Santa Barbara, CA on November 1st for a 5-night stay. This was another city we've been to several times before, but we thought it would be a nice stop-over for a few days. We really enjoyed riding bikes in Santa Barbara along the pathway by the ocean.
Biking around Santa Barbara.
We continued our trek down the coast on November 20th to Acton, CA for a 21-night stay at Soledad Canyon RV Resort. This RV park is about 1 hour north of Los Angeles where our daughter, Alyssa, lives and makes a good base to visit with her. We have stayed at this resort before, so we didn't really do anything too exciting while staying here. We spent Thanksgiving with Alyssa, and made a few trips to Santa Clarita.
Visits with Alyssa and the Acton area.
On December 11th, we headed south to Chula Vista, CA, near San Diego. We stayed at San Diego KOA for 10 nights. This was a great RV resort because of its location and close proximity to San Diego. The resort has a nice pool and hot tub and a little train ride that Myah enjoyed riding with daddy! We've been to San Diego a few times. It's one of our favorite cities to visit because there is so much to do and see in the area. We walked around Balboa Park, strolled on the beautiful beaches, rode our bikes, ate some fantastic food, and explored all that San Diego has to offer.
Fun times in San Diego
We moved to Long Beach, CA on December 21st for 6 nights and made Golden Shores RV Park our new home. Our kids flew in to spend Christmas with us and rented an Airbnb in Alhambra, so this park made a great base for meet-ups. We had a wonderful time celebrating the holiday together with all 3 kids and grandson! We bought a LA Go City Pass and did some touristy activities during the rest of the time we were together. Some of the activities included, Aquarium of the Pacific, The Warner Brothers Studio Tour in Hollywood, and the Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour.
The best times are spent with family.
The time with our kids flew by, and before we knew it, we were saying our goodbyes. Next stop Palm Springs, CA!
