Patten Pond, Bar Harbor, Acadia NP

We arrived at Patten Pond Camping Resort in Ellsworth, ME on July 2nd. We spent some time settling in and familiarizing ourselves with the area. We drove into Bar Harbor the next day. Due to it being a holiday weekend, it was very crowded. Myah insisted on going to the local pet store, Bark Harbor. She was welcomed with treats and attention. We only allowed her one bag of biscuits this time. The town was dotted with several shops and restaurants. We walked around for a few hours, picked up some giant cookies and headed back to the campground

The 4th of July was a complete rain out. It literally rained all night and all day. We took this time to do some shopping and watch movies. It's nice to relax in the RV; Myah didn't seem to mind!

Monday was a beautiful, sunny day with high's in the mid 70's-perfect for a day in Acadia! We chose to do the Ocean Path which brought us to Thunder Hole and out to Otter Point. It is a 4.5 mile out and back trail. It was a great day to be by the ocean. We really enjoyed climbing on the rocks and taking in the gorgeous landscape of our new view!

We had a relaxing evening walking around the campground and sipping wine while watching a movie in the screened tent with the fur kids. Life is good!
